Free tools terms
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the free online tools offered by Akinary Pty Ltd (ABN 94 687 617 385) (“Akinary”, “we”, “us”) at smb.akinary.com.au, currently Listbench, Adbench, Docbench and Claimbench. Our website terms and Privacy Policy also apply. By verifying your email and using a tool, you agree to these terms.
2. Using the tools
- The tools are free, subject to the fair use limits in section 3. We may change, limit or withdraw a tool at any time.
- You must be 18 or over and use the tools for your business or work (for example, as an agent, tradesperson, accountant or health practitioner).
- Only upload photos, logos and information you own or have permission to use. Make sure anyone identifiable in a photo is happy for it to be used.
- Do not use the tools to create unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or offensive material, or to access them by automated means.
- We may block access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or a tool is being misused.
3. Fair use
The tools are free for genuine use by agents, tradespeople, accountants, health clinics and businesses creating or checking material for their own listings, clients or business. You can use what you create commercially, including in paid advertising. To keep the tools free for everyone:
- One free AI-written result per person per tool per day: one brochure from Listbench and one ad set from Adbench written with “Enhanced with AI” ticked, counted per email address. Variations of the same inbox, such as name+1@ or, for Gmail, the same name with dots, count as one address. The day resets at midnight Queensland time.
- Without AI, no daily limit: if you untick “Enhanced with AI”, the words are filled in from your own details in your browser, nothing is sent to our AI provider, and it doesn't count towards the daily limit. You still need to verify your email.
- A small number per internet connection: up to 3 free AI-written results per tool per day from one network (your IP address), so people in the same office can each have theirs. After that, further AI requests from that network are refused for the rest of the day, whatever email address is used.
- Docbench and Claimbench have no daily limit: they don't use AI, so you can create as many checklists and checks as you need once your email is verified.
- Temporary or throwaway email services can't be used to verify.
- You can keep editing, downloading and sharing your result after that. If a request fails on our side, it doesn't count towards your limit.
- You can also request up to 5 verification codes per email address per hour and email yourself up to 10 results per day. “Find nearby places” is limited per internet connection each hour, and there is an overall daily limit across everyone using the tools.
Please don't use scripts or bots, share access, use several email addresses or networks to get around the limits, or resell access to the tools. We may change these limits, and we may block access where use looks automated or excessive.
Blocked by mistake? Many people in one building or on the same mobile network can share an internet connection. If you think the limit has been applied to you unfairly, or you need more, email support@akinary.com.au.
4. Everything the tools create is a draft
With “Enhanced with AI” ticked (the default), the tools use artificial intelligence to draft wording from the information you provide, and AI can make mistakes. With it unticked, a simple template fills in the wording from your details. Either way, the result is a draft. Docbench doesn't use AI: its checklists are general lists based on Australian Taxation Office guidance at the time of writing. They are not tax advice, and you are responsible for checking that a checklist suits each client before you send it. Claimbench also doesn't use AI: it gives general guidance on wording based on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency's (Ahpra's) published advertising guidance at the time of writing. It isn't legal advice, it can't check images, links or the overall impression of your advertising, and a clean result doesn't mean your advertising complies. You remain responsible for your advertising. You are responsible for checking that everything is accurate and complies with the laws that apply to you (for example, the Australian Consumer Law, property and advertising rules, and anti-discrimination law) before you publish or rely on it.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload and the brochures, ads and checklists you create. You allow us to process your content only to run the tool for you. Photos, headshots and logos are processed in your browser; we do not store them. With “Enhanced with AI” ticked, the details you enter (for Listbench, the suburb rather than the street address; body corporate fees and council rates are never sent) and up to four small copies of your photos are sent to our AI provider to draft the wording, and are not kept by Akinary after your result is returned. With it unticked, nothing is sent to our AI provider. You are responsible for making sure ads you publish meet the rules for your trade (for example, showing your licence number) and each advertising platform's policies.
Docbench. Checklists are made in your browser. Your practice details and logo are saved only in your browser, and your clients' details are not stored by Akinary. If you use “Email me”, the checklist and email text (including any client name you entered) are sent to your verified email address through our email provider and are not kept after sending. Don't enter tax file numbers or other sensitive information about your clients.
Claimbench. Checks run in your browser, and your clinic details are saved only in your browser. Your wording is not stored by Akinary. If you use “Email me”, the report and findings (including your wording) are sent to your verified email address through our email provider and are not kept after sending. Don't paste patients' names or health information.
6. Privacy collection notice
When you use a tool we collect:
- your email address, verified with a one-time code;
- your agreement to these terms, and whether you chose to receive marketing (with the date and wording);
- usage records (which tool, when, the page you signed up from, your browser type and a one-way coded version of your network address) to apply daily limits and prevent abuse;
- the details you type into the tool, which are used to create your result and may be included in any results email you request.
We use this to verify you, provide the tool, email you your results when you ask, and protect the service. Our service providers are our database provider (Supabase), our email provider (Zoho) and our AI provider (currently OpenAI, which is located in the United States, so when you use “Enhanced with AI” the details you enter and small photo copies are disclosed overseas to generate your result).
Find nearby places (Listbench). Only when you press this button, our server sends the listing's street address, suburb, state and postcode to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation in the United Kingdom) to find its map location. Only that map location, not the address, is then sent to a public Overpass API server in Europe (overpass-api.de, or a backup server if it is busy) to find nearby places such as stations, schools, parks and shops. We keep only a usage count (with a coded network address) to apply limits. Place data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the Open Database Licence. It may be incomplete or out of date, and distances are straight-line estimates, so check names and distances before you publish. Only the places you tick are used.
Marketing is optional. We only send tips and offers, including information about Akinary's website and IT services, if you tick the separate marketing box. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email support@akinary.com.au at any time. Emails that deliver your results or verification codes are part of the service.
To access or correct your information, or to make a privacy complaint, see our Privacy Policy or email privacy@akinary.com.au.
7. Liability
The tools are provided free and “as is”, without any promise that they will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Akinary is not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, or lost profits or opportunities) arising from your use of the tools or of content they produce. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
8. Your responsibility to us (indemnity)
You are responsible for what you upload and for how you use what the tools create. You agree to indemnify Akinary against any claim, loss, cost or penalty (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: content you upload (for example, photos or logos you don't have the right to use); brochures, ads, checklists or other material you publish or send using the tools, including any that are misleading or breach advertising, licensing, property or anti-discrimination rules; or your breach of these terms. This doesn't apply to the extent a loss is caused by our own negligence or breach.
9. Third-party platforms
Listbench, Adbench, Docbench and Claimbench are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, TikTok, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, any property portal, the Australian Taxation Office, Ahpra or any National Board. Each platform has its own terms and advertising policies. We're not responsible if a platform rejects, limits or removes your content or account, and sharing links open those services under their own terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and Akinary submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and courts that can hear appeals from them.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms, and the date above will change when we do. Questions: support@akinary.com.au.
